It’s that time of year again! The time for buying presents, making wish lists, and planning New Year’s Resolutions. If any of those activities involve books for you, I have an announcement that just might be right up your alley.
From Nov 24th through Nov 30th, a huge selection of independently published Christian books are on sale. You can find discounted paperbacks, dozens of books offered with free shipping, $0.99 ebooks, package deals, and more. When you purchase a paperback book through indiechristianbooks.com you’ll be eligible to enter an exclusive giveaway including free books and an Amazon gift card!
You can meet our authors by visiting the Author Database on the website. Want to get to know the authors better AND have the chance to win some fun prizes? We’d love to have you join our week long Facebook party which will feature 39 authors over 7 days.
All eight of my books will be featured both in ebook and paperback deals, as well as a set of all five Firmament books! Several of my friends and fellow authors will also be participating, including Claire Banschbach, another homeschooled Texas author who I have the pleasure of interviewing today!
Hello, Claire! Thank you for joining us today. Tell us a little about yourself!
Hi! Thanks for having me! I’m a native west Texan that has recently transplanted to north Texas and kind of misses the desert. I’m a mid-twenties girl who still loves all things animated and Disney. I have way to much fun exploring fictional worlds armed with only my overactive imagination and a pen. And when I live in the real world, I work as a pediatric physical therapist in Arlington, and (usually) having a blast working with some awesome kiddos.
What is your favorite thing about writing?
That’s hard, but I love the initial stages of discovering an idea and writing it out. I’m more of a planster, so I go in with a rough game plan and wing it from there, so it’s so much fun to discover the characters as you go, be surprised by the plot twists that write themselves, and explore the world alongside your characters.
How are your novels important or personal to you?
My novels seem to focus on family and usually feature sibling rather than romantic relationships. Family is very important to me, and I know I’d do anything for my siblings, so that’s always something that sneaks into my stories.
What are your plans going forward for the series? For the rest of your writing?
The Faeries of Myrnius series is my current series right now, Adela’s Curse being book 1. Book 2, The Wolf Prince, has been edited and I’m in the process of going through and applying those edits. And right now, it’s looking like possibly a summer 2018 release for that one! And after that, there’s book 3 to be written with ice faeries and a chance for me to use the word caribou every chance I get. 😉 And for the rest of my writing, it’s looking like I’m going to branch out of YA and into NA/Adult, dig into some modern fantasy and I have an exciting sci-fi concept I’m dying to explore.
And for fun, what is your favorite sea creature and why?
Sea otters for sure. They’re so cuddly and I want one sooo baaad! 🙂
Sea Otters are indeed adorable! Thank you for visiting with me!
Check out the Indie Christian Books sale when it goes live this Black Friday!
A note on the Ebooks Only page. Many of the books are listed as “Sold Out.” This is because we aren’t selling those directly through our site. Please click onto the product pages to find descriptions and links to discounted or free ebooks.
